Word of the day : Pilot

And yes, it's every girls wet dream to go out with a pilot and that includes me. Okay, he don't really need to be a pilot, just being a Ang mo (Caucasian) is more than enough. Like hello? It's every Asian girl's dream to date one. You go to admit it, Asian girls dig Ang Mo boys. I'd love to be a SPG ( Sarong Party Girl*)- Yeah yeah, I'm superficial =S whatever~ - And that includes you guys as well, not that you wanna be a SPM (Sarong Party Man- Is there such a phrase for it? =/ ).
You gotta admit, she looked kinda hot in that uniform.

Anyway, thats not the topic i'm gonna talk about today~
And now The Word For The Day -Drum Roll Please- PILOT (go figure, genius)
And Yes Pilot, other then the obvious meaning, did you guys ever realize that Pilot is actually what they called in every first episode of the very first season of every (almost) Ang mo dramas?
I have no idea why...
Maybe it has something to do with taking off?
Like the most important person needed to actually fly a plane?
I dont know =S.
If you do, do leave a comment and tell us more about it.
So anyway, if the word pilot means first (or whatever it means) then this is my pilot attempt on making Roast Chicken! =D
So this is during the roasting process

Tada! My Roast Chicken is done~

Looks pretty yummy doesn't it?
To those foodie who wanna try to make one, here's the link to the video which is the recipe i followed.
I did a few variation of my own since we can't really get the fresh herbs from the supermarket.
I used Mixed Italian Herbs. Not sure what's the brand, but i'll update you guys what brand i used asap~
I also added potatoes as the base so the chicken doesn't get burnt.
And i did boil the potatoes first before i roast them.
Oh I almost forgot, when there's roast chicken there will be roast chicken gravy. Here's the link to the recipe. This could be used for the mashed potatoes as well.
And the flour i used is actually corn flour -the one where you use to thicken the sauce-.

The chicken taste herby, lemony, and the potatoes turned out rather crispy. Despite it looking dry and all, even a non-breast-meat-eater like me actually ate it. Well if thats still too dry for you pour some gravy over, Its taste absolutely delicious!
Overall this is an awesome recipe and you need not marinate the chicken before hand or anything. It's an easy recipe for those kitchen disasters and yes it means you!
Nah~ Just kidding. -seriously-
If you put your heart to it, even the simplest dish could taste awesome - and yes, that includes frying an egg or cooking instant noodles-.

Well that's all folks! Have fun cooking~
P.S. Did i mention this was my Pilot post as well. =D
